Legal Executive / Manager (Singapore)

Overview of the Job Responsibilities

The Legal Executive / Manager handles all the company’s legal transactions, partnerships and projects. His principal responsibility is to guarantee that all the company’s transactions comply with the Country’s Laws and Regulations, while actively helping the Company in avoiding possible legal risks and violations.

His other main duties include, but not limited to, consulting and leading all corporate legal processes such as advising the Company on its legal rights and duties, incorporation of new companies, corporate secretarial, mergers and acquisitions, compliance issues, contract management, intellectual property and litigation management.

No. Job Responsibilities:
1 Contribute to the good governance within the organisation by advising and ensuring Company’s compliance on their legal obligations, corporate governance matters and ethical responsibilities
2 Draft, evaluate and negotiate contracts to ensure terms are beneficial to the Company’s interest
3 Guide the Company in ensuring legislative and regulatory compliance
4 Deal with legal issues related to the protection of the intellectual property rights and obligations of the Company
5 Assist the organisation in managing and handling all phases of litigation process
6 Develop Group Legal Department’s governance documents such as Policy, Procedure, Guidelines, etc.
7 Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications
Education Required:

  • Bachelor of Laws with corresponding Professional License

 

Experience Required:

  • At least three (3) years related experience in Corporate Law, Taxation, Labor and Litigation
  • Experience in handling exportation and importation would be an advantage

 

Competencies and Skills Required

  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills
  • Top-notch business acumen, consultative skills, critical thinking, problem solving, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in law to solve problems using other disciplines and methodologies
  • Proficient in MS Office applications

 

The Successful Candidate will be based in our headquarters in Singapore.  Compensation and Benefits package will be commensurate to qualification and experience.
