CONCRETE SPACER has been developed to prevent corrosive agents from reaching the reinforcement steel through cracks and pervious concrete, when concrete structures are exposed to a wide range of conditions such as soil, seawater, stored chemicals or the atmosphere. This cover is also necessary to protect the reinforcement steel against a rapid rise in temperature and subsequent loss of strength during a fire. The K.U.S Concrete Spacer meets the demands for covering the reinforcement steel, as required by industrial standards. The thickness of the cover required depends on the severity of the exposure and the quality of the concrete. They are widely used in the construction of roads, tunnels, bridges, docks and buildings.
