Octoflex – Wall & Column Formwork

OCTOFLEX-H20 is a wall and column formwork System with K.U.S Amphiply plywood surface. The panels are made with a combination of plywood, H-20 timber beams, and steel Walers. OCTOFLEX-H20 is designed following international standard code of practice for various concrete Pressures. This system can support concrete pressure up to 80kN/Sqm.

This OCTOFLEX-H20 formwork system is composed of following main elements:

K.U.S Amphiply
K.U.S Amphiply is manufactured from Wood Core of Eucalyptus mixed with diverse types of hardwood glued by WBP, which maximizes the number of reuses.

K.U.S H-20 Beam
H-20 Beam is the strongest and lightest formwork beam made of engineered spruce wood, available in various lengths. With the chords made of high-quality finger-jointed timber and the Webs came with protective cap against premature chipping on the chord ends, this ensures H-20 Beam’s sustainability and durability in all climate zones.

K.U.S Steel Walers
To resist the lateral pressure of fresh concrete as well as setting the surface of panels, Steel Walers are used. Walers are designed to transmit the concrete load from H-20 Beam to Tie Rods. This component is available in both standard and custom-made sizes.

K.U.S Hook Strap
Hook Strap is used to fix the Steel Waler to H-20 Beam.

K.U.S Push Pull Prop
To resist the lateral pressure and keep the formwork panel steady during the concreting, Push Pull Props are being for the precise alignment and assembly of the formwork.

Timber Bracket Arrangement
The Timber Bracket, which can be attached to the formwork, is a ready-to-use bracket for building a working platform for workers and equipment placement. The bracket arrangement comes with Railing Posts which are used to connect the guard rails.

K.U.S Tie Rod System
To maintain the accurate thickness of the wall, plus resisting the lateral concrete pressure, Tie Rod System is used.

K.U.S has developed a Wall & Column Formwork System with KUSAL Aluminium Beams. The panels can be formed by replacing H-20 beams with KUSAL and its supplementary components. This decreases system weight and improves system durability.

This OCTOFLEX- KUSAL Beam formwork system is composed of following main elements:

K.U.S Amphiply

KUSAL Beam
KUSAL is a high-grade aluminium extrusion profile used as Studs. By replacing the H-20beams with KUSAL, we can achieve a lower system weight.

K.U.S Steel Walers
To resist the lateral pressure of fresh concrete as well as setting the surface of panels, Steel Walers are used. Walers are designed to transmit the concrete load from H-20 Beam to Tie Rods. This component is available in both standard and custom-made sizes.

KUSAL Clip & T-Bolt
The steel walers and the KUSAL beams shall be fixed together with KUSAL Clip & T-Bolt. The Beam Clip plate is made from specially-formed high-strength steel securing aluminium beams to standard steel Post Shores. The T-bolt is a special form of steel to provide for its special head, which guides the T-bolt into the beam slot.

K.U.S Push Pull Prop

STOP END ARRANGEMENT 
The Stop End is arranged at the wall ending, the construction joint or extension joint. The Stop End arrangement is completed using Tie Yoke and Tie Rod System.

Inner Corner
The erection of the inner 90-degree angle corner in the wall is made possible by using corner Walers. Our design can be used as a left-hand or right-hand corner to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Outer Corner
The Walers at the external corner are clamped together with the Tie Yoke and Tie Rod System.

Walers Connection
The Walers at two formwork panels are connected using Waler connectors, secured by the Wedge.

Lifting Bracket
To carry the panels easily and safely, Lifting Brackets are bolted on the webs of H-20 Beams and KUSAL Beams.
